柱銷聯軸器是利用一端套有彈性套（橡膠材料）的柱銷，裝在兩半聯軸器凸緣孔中，以實現兩半聯軸器的聯接。

彈性柱銷聯軸器是一種結構簡單制造容易，無需潤滑，裝拆彈性柱銷便捷的傳動基礎件，利用兩個帶法蘭孔的半聯和置于起重的非金屬彈性柱銷來傳遞扭矩，適用于中低速和中低扭矩場合。

彈性柱銷齒式聯軸器采用非金屬彈性柱銷和兩個帶齒形半聯以及一個外圈的齒形套環設計，利用非金屬彈性的變形來傳遞扭矩同時緩沖減震，補償角向位移。

彈性套柱銷聯軸器設計簡單巧妙，適用性較廣的聯軸器，利用帶彈性套的柱銷聯接兩個帶銷孔的半聯，實現扭矩傳遞的同時兼具較大的角向補償，同時減震緩沖性能良好，可以用在速度較快的場合，無需潤滑，銷套更換便捷。

凸緣聯軸器屬于剛性聯軸器，是把兩個帶有凸緣的半聯軸器用普通平鍵分別與兩軸連接，然后用螺栓把兩個半聯軸器連成一體，以傳遞運動和轉矩。這種聯軸器有兩種主要的結構形式：靠鉸制孔用螺栓來實現兩軸對中和靠螺栓桿承受擠壓與剪切來傳遞轉矩；靠一個半聯軸器上的凸肩與另一個半聯軸器上的凹槽相配合而對中。連接兩個半聯軸器的螺栓可以采用A級和B級的普通螺栓，轉矩靠兩個半聯軸器結合面的摩擦力矩來傳遞。凸緣聯軸器結構簡單，制造方便，成本較低，工作可靠，裝拆、維護均較簡便，傳遞轉矩較大，能保證兩軸具有較高的對中精度，一般常用于載荷平穩，高速或傳動精度要求較高的軸系傳動。凸緣聯軸器不具備徑向、軸向和角向補償。剛性聯軸器是一種扭轉剛性的聯軸器，即使承受負載時也無任何回轉間隙，即便是有偏差產生負荷時，剛性聯軸器還是剛性傳遞扭矩。
